About Coach Joe
Joe Somodi is a breath coach, educator, and speaker based in Fort Collins, Colorado, and the founder of Elite Breathing. His work helps people build a healthier, more functional relationship with the breath so it can better support mental health, resilience, recovery, and performance in daily life.
Joe is the creator of the Elite Breathing app and the author of three books on breath health, including Elite Breathing: A Game-Winning Home Run for Mental Health. Through workshops, classes, and coaching, he has worked with athletes, coaches, schools, businesses, and community organizations across the United States. His approach blends breath training, nervous system education, and practical tools that people can use both in training and in life.
His clients and audiences have included collegiate athletic programs, high schools, corporate groups, and nonprofits, with organizations such as Yale University Golf, IMG Academy, and Georgetown University among those he has served. Joe is also certified in Oxygen Advantage, VitalCog suicide prevention, Mental Health First Aid, ACT, and U.S. Center for SafeSport training.
Whether he is teaching a team, leading a workshop, or working one-on-one, Joe’s goal is simple: help people improve the way they breathe so they can think more clearly, recover more fully, and meet life with greater steadiness.
